Soviet Commercial Aviation Video

Post by GAHorn »

Interesting video of Soviet Commercial Aviation Development, from their perspective. Good, Vintage cine'.
Listen carefully, and you will pick up on references to use of American DC-3 and B-29 copies, as well as certain unique views on aviation. (Particularly interesting was the case of the airliner which became embroiled in a thunderstorm, and the pilot simply let go of the controls and refused to try to fly it regardless of his navigators pleas. The airplane found it's own way back to controllability. Example of lack of skill?...or knowlege of airraft-stability characteristics?) 1-hour video.

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)

Really interesting video! That 8 engined aircraft was pretty unique as were many others. Too bad we don't live in a world that uses ONE language so everyone could understand what others are saying. Thanks George.
