Lukla Airport/Everest Climb

Post by MoonlightVFR »

An accountant employee has intense interest in Soccer.

One of his soccer associates climbed Mt Everest at age 71. Confirmed to the top.

Lukla airport built by Sir Edmond Hiliary - fly school textbooks to Nepal plus eliminate 3 week trek just to get to base of Everest. Increase tourism.

So you are 71 years old, just climbed Mt Everest and as you describe your life event what stands out in conversation?

FLYING!

Not the death zone, but flying.

His mind is galvanized by Lukla airport landing.

I am convinced that your knowing about Lukla airport will make you a better C170 pilot.

Lower elevation than Leadville, but looks way more challenging.
