Hello , I intend to replace some sagging shock mounts on my 1955 C170 B instrument panel.Page 76 of the IPC calls for item 4, a spacer,p/n 0311585. None are fitted in the current iteration of the panel and I don’t see this part or it’s equivalent listed online..any information on its dimensions would be appreciated.
Many thanks, Jer

Be careful to use non-magnetic nuts to avoid influencing the compass
If your current mounts are only “sagging”… you might consider simply rotating them 180-degrees.

Hi George, thanks for that info.
Searching the forum, I came across your “Second Artificial Horizon Project”….it seems that, given what your project involved in extending the mounts, my pursuit of the spacer is somewhat moot..perhaps another narrow brass nut or washer would suffice?

I replaced all of those little shock mounts in my 54 without removing or disconnecting the panel. All were severely sagged and a few were broken, probably last replaced 1990.
The nuts behind the panel on the top edge required fabricating some tools to get them tight. Nuthin fancy, just cheap harbor freight wrenches heated and bent to fit the task.
Not as bad as replacing a fuel valve, but similar words were uttered during the process.
