Trip Planning Ground Transportation

I do a lot of backpacking and climbing and I find one of the major challenges for trip planning by air is the leg between the airport and the trailhead.
For example two years ago I flew into San Francisco on the airlines took Bart to Oakland a bus to Jack London square. Amtrak to Merced switched to a Amtrak bus to the Yosemite valley overnight in the valley then a shuttle bus to Tuolumne Meadows. I hiked the John Muir trail to North Lake at Bishop. My folks picked me up at North Lake and I flew home from
LA.
That example is typical of the trip planning required for trips of this type. I have included a few links that I have useful in the past for trip planning.
Next summer I plan to use the 170 for travel to state high points.
If you know of transportation services from a local airport to a trailhead I would like to put together a master list together for planning purposes.

In order to organize this please indicate if location is to a location on
on the AT, CDT, PCT, 50HPT, or local by state.

Did you see the devil's postpile in John Muir? Sounds like a great hike!
