Texas members who knew/knew of Robert Geren??

I realize this is kind of a longshot, but...

I'm currently looking at a 170B that was refurbished by Robert J. Geren in the mid 80's. Apparently, he was well known for his refurbs on Howard DGA's. I don't have much info on him other than he lived in the Dallas area (Carrollton, I believe.) I was wondering if any members knew him or knew of him. He was a pilot for Braniff for many years and also an A&P. Years ago a magazine article was published about his exploits. I don't know the year or the magazine.
