Yes George I know all that but in 1988 I DID NOT NEED an instructor to fly a tailwheel aircraft! I just thought it prudent to have someone along who was familiar with the aircraft and it's characteristics. I tried to find an instructor to fly with but the only one who had ANY tailwheel time said he would not do it because he hadn't flown a tailwheel for more than 10 years.Just as a matter of interest,...
