Unknown Aircraft

I'm looking for info on an old airplane I've come across and I hope one of you can assist me.

It is a low wing tail dragger - 2 tandum seats -
bungie cord mani gear suspension - tube and fabric"

The fellow says he thinks it's a "Spiezio" - "Speezio" - "Spezzio"

Correct spelling is unknown.

Ever heard of it?
