Here's some photos I snapped Sunday afternoon the day before the Fly In
officially started.
More to come. I think I'm getting this photo thing figured out.

Nice pictures! It's easy to tell which one has 172 mufflers.

2023 Best Original 170A at Sault Ste. Marie
Owned from 1973 to 1984.
Bought again in 2006 after 22 years.
It's not for sale!
You know Dave your plane in that picture is just as special but in a different way than Steve Jacobson's award winning 170A.
I really appreciate Steve's commitment. But if you can't make a cloths line out of your airplane, and enjoy it with your kids, what do you really have?
Your camping shot is the best. Wish I was there.

I hope someone mentioned the possibilites of rudder damage that can occur with that rudder gust lock to N2734C (although that's marginally better than the type that grabs the counter-balance area.)

50th Anniversary of Flight Model. Winner-Best Original 170B, 100th Anniversary of Flight Convention. An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons.
The white and dark red 170B with the doors open is mine. Dave, it was Custom Classic Runner Up. Fancy name for 2nd place. Just finished a 4 yr restoration on it. I'm slow. Spare time work therapy project. Lot of credit goes to this forum for help when I needed it and correction when I needed to do it again right!
