A friend of mine with a recently-earned pilot license has just bought a Piper Dakota. I'm checking him out in it, and he's asking me lots of things. Some of his questions could be better answered by people with experience owning Cherokees, which I have not, so I've suggested he look for an owner's club or forum and ask there.
...which just reminds me how valuable TIC170A and this forum are. As a 170 owner, you're never alone!
Thanks, everyone, and especially the webmaster and moderators, for making this a great resource. Just saying.
Best Regards,
John

I'd like to add to that the fact that TIC170A and this forum have avoided the "snobbification" that seems to affect other groups. Despite this being a 170 forum, anything is fair game and happily discussed... Swifts, Champs, Cubs, Jeeps, Tractors, (even stuffing for turkey dinner on one occasion ) the list goes on...
I second John's comments. This is an absolutely great group of folks. I don't see a bunch of snobbery. What I see is a bunch of folks that share a common trait (i.e., either have, love, or fly the 170's or have, love, or fly a 170 wannabe.....(early 172TD....lol). Regardless, it's a great bunch of folks sharing information and helping each other while having a good time.
Yeah. I've clicked on his profile from time to time to read some of his posts when I needed a smile.

You're not the only one!
Me too... and I never had the privilege of meeting him.
