The March 2008 issue of AOPA Pilot has a nice story (page 141) about the "Hacienda Hotel" Cessna 172 that flew for nearly 65 days straight in 1958-59. I still think this is a very cool story, and it says a lot about the reliability of these airplanes and engines.
