ALTON BAY open

Alton Bay Ice Runway NH (B18) 122.8 is open for business. The Alton Winter Carnival is scheduled for Feb 15th. It didn't look like the runway was going to open this year due to lack of a manager. A group of Alton businessmen got together and decided it was too good to let go and have taken over operations. They have plowed the runway to about 4,000ft with plenty of taxiway and parking. Check NOTAM's for conditions.

Hey Jim,
You gonna go? weather permitting i'm going to give it a go. Landing at alton bay on the ice runway is on my priority list of things to do. Its a 2.5 hour trip for me, I am planing on a 10am arrival and leave when I get to cold.
