You could just see that accident coming from the beginning, couldn't you?
Reminds me of something from Hal Holbrook's "Mark Twain Tonight" show, where Twain tells a story of being at the site of a house fire, and there's a man in a second-story window calling for help. "I knew just what to do," he said -- "I threw a rope up to him, and told him to tie one end around his waist. He did, and I pulled him down."
