SPECIAL ALERT BULLETINS

Special Alert Bulletins are a new feature.

Special Alert Bulletins (SAB) will be issued whenever a special concern regarding operations, service, or maintenance is discovered. A Special Alert Bulletin will carry no official status with either the manufacturer or the airworthiness authorities, but will be a TIC170A item of interest to members.

Special Alert Bulletin summaries will be published in The Flypaper, and in The Forums in an effort to put information into members possession as soon as practical. Detailed supplemental information will follow in the next The 170 News whenever appropriate. Each SAB will be designated according to date. (yr-mo-day) Summaries will be followed by (s). Example: 090326(s) is the first alert summary to be issued.

Members and other interested parties are encouraged to submit any comments and information to the Parts and MX Advisor as they become aware of such conditions. Contact information is on the front of each Flypaper. Email submissions are preferred, but ordinary mail is also welcome at:
