The small world
You know its a small world, sometimes even smaller than you think. Unfortunately I missed our convention in June and I'm still find myself in Schiphol away from my plane for at least another two weeks. While having dinner tonight a young man sitting at another table close to me, struck up a conversation and asked whether I was a pilot (I had a KLM book in my hands). We began to talk about planes, work and his present job flying a Citation 650. Somewhere in the conversation Texas was mentioned, after that It didn't take long before the name George Horn came up. George your world famous.

Re: The small world
It is small. On my return from Duluth at Mackinac, I had my Cessna 170 jacket on and a guy hollers down the street. He asks if I know our own Bob Coats. I reply that he was waiting for weather in Duluth and this guy is a neighbor to Bob in Florida at his second home. Yes, this often happens in my travels.

I think that the correct spelling is "INfamous."c170b53 wrote:...It didn't take long before the name George Horn came up. George your world famous.
Who was it that you met?

George it just amazes me how small aviation, this fellows name is Martin Gerburgundy a pleasant young Dutch pilot who met you while undergoing training with I believe a fellow instructor Joe Black at Simuflite. I hope I got the story right, he mention another instructor he had as well but I don't recall his name clearly possibly John Brady. He flies for a local Dutch charter company, they have 4 citation 650's and have just acquired an RJ.
