We've had a bit more snow than normal in GA.

I have some close friends from Alaska who spend the winter in Oklahoma. (Okemah, and they keep a couple of planes in Henryetta) hahaha A couple of weeks ago I couldn't resist.... I just had to call and ask how that was going for them. Of course, this year, all of us would have had to go south of the border for a mild winter.

I really don't mind snow... as long as I have a garage and I'm not the poor guy who has to shovel it. Back in my past life I spent several years flying for a commuter / charter airline in Alaska. I had no money and no garage. I spent a lot of time digging my car out. I was younger and tougher then though.

These snow pics are at my Toledo Bend home, just before the weekend of the mid-year meeting of the TICA170 board in the Dallas Metro area.

The roof tops and grass are already white and it is snowing now, 7 AM 3/2/10. It is not spring yet in the South.

I would like to make certain everyone realizes, despite his appearance, our newest board-member is NOT HOMELESS! Despite his caption, neither that boat nor the car pictured is Ol'Gar's home!

(Ol' Gar actually lives under a rock under that bush beneath-which Deana is peeking. She is trying to get him to come out for breakfast!)

George, for a minute there I thought you were talking about Harold Holiman or Glenn Hetchler as it wouldn't have been Jim McIntosh as he was previously appointed to fulfill an opening left by Jerry Terlisner. They are the newest board members not Ol' Nanook of LA.

My deepest apologies to Harold and Glenn. I would never want anyone to mistake either of them for our Looeasyana fre'n.

When I saw these pictures for the first time I thought to my myself, wonder if that boat ever moves being Ol' Gar spends so much time flying his 170? I know the truck moves cause Ol' Gar and Deana took me to lunch in it last November when I was in Shreveport.
