The snow has been so deep this year that the wildlife is running out of food. We have had as many as 400 deer up in and around our yard at one time The next several weeks will be the hardest on these deer becuase they no longer have any reserv left and what ever food they could normally get at has been covered up with snow. Do you know how much hay 500 deer can eat over night!!!!!!.......LOTS, more than my 50 cows do I have recieved help from several Sportsmans Clubs bring out some corn and hay to help. We find a dead one every other day now, usually a last years fawn(yearling)

I don't hunt, but when I was young sometimes I would go to the hunting camp with my Daddy during deer season in the Mississippi Delta. That food they cooked and served at the camp was some of the best I have ever eaten in my life.

Four guys go on a deer hunting trip. After getting the camp set up they try to decide who will be the cook. No one volunteers so they agree to draw straws and the short straw gets the job. However, the first complainant has to take it over.
After the fourth day, the cook finds and prepares a large "Meadow Pie" for the evening meal.
The first guy takes a big bite, grimaces, and exclaimes, "Geezus! This tastes like S--T,------BUT IT'S GOOD!".
