Who was the guy that didnt have the decency to say hello dropping into my airport KBVU and say hello? It was a gorgeous Yellow and White 170 with wheel pants. On the panel was an engraved plate that said "Fly your ass off!" Bummin that I do not get to meet many other 170 officianados. Doug
Ps. I left you a card in the door.
Doug-
I'm one of the guilty parties, last November I flew into Boulder City to avoid the Las Vegas airspace B.S. I will ALWAYS land at Boulder City in the future when I fly to the Las Vegas area. I was in a red and white 170 going to the Nellis AFB Aviation Nation Airshow where my nephew flew his last airshow demo flight in the A-10. Sorry I didn't look you up while I was there but I did look at your plane. I won't let it happen again.

I remember Richard, but I was looking and didnt think this was you. I just dont remember who has a yellow on white 170 with a snub nose for a spinner. I just thought I would lay a little pressure on ya. It is funny when the airport Coffee Kronies come up to me and ask who that was? frustrating is the short answer. I just wish all guys were in the 170 association so I could get the pressure thick. I was tempted to turn the aircraft around into the prevailing wind so as to reduce possible damage. I know mother hen. I am waiting for anyone to come up to me and say hi I am in the 170 Association other then those of you who I have instructed. LOL. I am still hopefull to see you at the convention. Best regards, Doug
W. I think that was Learaviator from near by (relative to PA and MN) Lake Havasu City that posted a picture of himself on a boat. Doug did this plane have a 180 Lycoming? Could have been him.
Doug you've got to remember to write down the N# then consult your directory to hopefully find the member to scold.

Hey Bruce, I got back from a trip on Monday. I went out to the airport and a number of the Coffee Kronies were asking me, whos plane it was. When I said I didnt know, I went home. I thought of writing down the tail number that night. So when I went out to the airport the next day, it was already gone. I believe it had dual stacks so I am sure it was an O-300 or C-145 not a 180. The day before, I put a business card in the door jam hoping that they would call at least before they left.
