New twist of an old scam BEWARE

Post by 15A »

Friend of mine decided to sell his plane. Posted it with the price and got a response right away. The buyer said it was just what he's been looking for and would pay the asking price. :D
Now the seller is delighted, and allows the 'buyer' to send a check with the agreed upon deposit. Receives the check, clears thru the bank, and all is GREAT! 8)
Then the buyer instructs the seller to send money to his 'ferry pilot', so he can fly up and finish the transaction. :?:
3 hours at the bank and the seller is informed the check he received was actually drawn on a stolen account.
He was lucky! Be careful.
