Forecast for us was to get 1-2 inches last night. The state park on Rich Mtn, about 3.5 miles north of my house and plus 1500 ft elevation, got 9 inches last night. At my house, we just got a little more than a dusting, which was fine by me. Not looking forward to Wednesday.

Jim, you have to remember this is Texas so if you don't like the weather today, wait and it will probably change tomorrow :o While you can't bank on the weather guessers  the outlook for late February in Houston is for high 60's and low 70's which should be near perfect if that guestimate hold true. We have had our fill of winter weather down this way :x So, COME ON DOWN

So Jim, you were in Texas talking to Texans when you heard this or were you talking to someone from a neighboring state. You've got to watch the source. I've heard it's not that cold in Alaska either. Can't say if I heard that from a Texan or an Alaskan or both. :)

Bruce
It has been rather interesting down here on Wed. These people are just not geared for any of this weather. Most of the water pipes are only a foot in the ground. Heck our garden hose is deeper than that in July
Wed. was a good day to go site seeing, we put on our spring jackets and were out and about, but they had schools closed and everybody stayed in doors. Went to a good ol Texas road house last night for something to eat and we had that fireplace just a cookin......goodtimes :D

So your in Texas now. What are you going to be doing till the board meeting on the 26th that you reported elsewhere you would be making roll call? Maybe teaching the Texan's how to survive the snow? :D

My little brother has 23" at his house in Tontitown, Ark. That set a new one day snowfall record for our state, breaking the previous one set in 1918.
Del

I would post a link, but I haven't gotten that far along in my lernin of Tina's iPhone yet.
And yes, George, she did laugh. Been laughing the past several days. Cabin fever, or something?

Well, this year I hope Texas is warm and sunny. We didn't get as much to be able to use the "new style" snow plow. It looks to be strenous to use it.
