For those of you who have joined the 170 association I would encourage you to find out who your state representative is and get to know them and participate in any fly ins they may be planning. For those who haven't joined the association I would urge you to do so. You don't know what you are missing. That is another good way to learn more about your 170. Finally, when you can, plan to attend one of our annual conventions. They are a lot of fun, informative and you get to know a lot of super nice folks.
I think it's a GREAT suggestion for everyone to get to know their
state representative** ...and to get them involved in FLY IN's. I'd also suggest everyone get to know their
AREA REPRESENTATIVES (List of them is found inside the front cover of the Directory) and help them to host-and-participate in AREA FLY IN's.

State Representatives are like Congressmen/Congresswomen, except on the state-legislature level.
Area Representatives are Int'l Cessna 170 Assoc'n (TIC170A) volunteers who help organize/host Fly In's and promote TIC170A.
(Heh-Heh...nice effort, tho' Frank.)
