CFI for 170 near Dayton, OH

Post by Bruce Fenstermacher »

We have a new member looking for a 170 CFI near Dayton OH. We don't have anyone on our CFI list here at the forum near there. Anybody have a recommendation?

Why not check on Martha Lunken who writes for Flying Magazine. I think she may be not too far from there, and I think she's a CFI too. she flys a C-180 so she's tailwheel qualified.

Well we can say she is definitely tailwheel qualified, she might be a CFI, she does have an ATP. She may hang around somewhere in Ohio as Cincinnati is her home town and that would be relatively close to Dayton OH if your in California. She may also still work for the FAA which means she probably isn't actively teaching students. All this from her bio at Flying Mag.

Who knows, could just be sitting around looking for a student.

Blueldr, thanks very much for your suggestion. I contacted Martha. She does have hours in the 170 and is a current instructor and examiner. She offered me a few local instructors' names, and said if those don't materialize, she will check me out. She also complimented my choice in airplanes! Again, I appreciate your help. Bill

(deleted) I kinda thought of it as a gag. I'll bet she would be a great instructor, too. Good Luck!
