I would like to have bought a completely original airplane and missed two different ones by one day each. Over the past year I spent way too much time surfing Barnstormers, TAP, and the For Sale forum here, but wouldn't you know it, the airplane I bought was right down the road in Boulder. It's not all original but had so many of the things I wanted in an airplane that I couldn't turn it down. With a home field elevation of 5100 I'm pretty sure I'll appreciate the extra horsepower on every takeoff.
I'd like to publicly thank Bruce Sdunek and Miles Bowen for volunteering to look at airplanes that came up for sale in their neighborhoods.
Here's a picture of me with the two former owners, both UAL pilots. I'm the guy in the middle, and I was smiling a whole lot more than you might guess from that picture. Actually, the guy on my left is retaining a small interest in the airplane so that he can continue to fly. Can you believe it, his wife didn't want to sell.
NOW ALL I GOTS TU DU IS LERN HOW TO FLY THE GOLDURN THING WITHOUT HURTING IT OR MYSELF!

Here it is in its new home
