N2814C bent

Would have thought someone more computer literate would have been on here before now. But do a search for this plane and you can get the story. N2814C wrecked at Puntilla lake near Rainy pass, Alaska Range.

Don't think it is for sale at this point. Just another 170B mangled a couple days ago two people injured. But there is a lesson to be learned here if you can learn from the mistakes of others. At this time there may be other factors involved with the accident that have not been reported so far.

Oh duh...I googled N2418C...It's a 180 (which is why I asked. I thought you were alerting the general public to an undisclosed history...).
Yes, that's a bad mess. From the looks of the wreckage, I'm not sure if a harness would help, but I'm glad I have them installed.

Boeing Field (Seattle) has runways 13 and 31...Dyslexia could be my downfall on a busy day....

I used to fly with an agnostic, dyslexic, copilot who was always wondering if there really was a dog.

George,
We were training him to fly French airplanes. He later became a test pilot for Airbus and developed quite a reputation.

Just do it! Get the BAS inertial reel shoulder harnesses ASAP. I'm pretty sure that airplane has harnesses and they still suffered facial lacerations. Without them the story might even be worse.

Both Occupants of this 170 are alive, the pilot with 2 broken hips and a broken leg and is in stable condition, the other is in serious condition still. The eye witness account is that he was turning around due to downdrafts and the airplane stalled at low level. This airplane has 180 hp Lycoming and is frequently featured on a cable TV show called "Alaska Outdoors Television". I wish them both a speedy recovery.
